The painted lady is a migrant butterfly that shows up in spring to grace our valleys with its beauty. it seems to prefare thistles and nettle. I took a few shots of this specimen late in the afternoon - this may be the reason why it did not flit off every time I approached it.

Hi!

I did a simple workshop with your image:
With Photo Shop 7:
First, a selectiv colour adjustment to get the colours more vivid.
Second an USM at ratio 0,3 pixels, 100 itensity to get it a bit more sharpen.

Hoppe you like it!
My best regards
