(191) Less Brightness Edited by:delfi

Hi Marius, how's it going?
I tried a workshop on your photo. I hope you like it.
Best regards, Dimitri.
Technique:
Brightness-level lowered (approx. -35 equivalent).
Note:
Altough not much seems to be have done in the workshop ("just brightness"), this was the only thing that gave reasonable results. Auto-B/C levels didn't work: too much contrast and bye-bye-sky. Manually lowering brightness didn't work here (changed sky-color), so I tried to use a different technique for this one.

(191) less haze Edited by:klemmg
(1719) |
Hi Marius,
Here is a variation with less haze.
In PS CS, I did the following:
- readjusted black point in "levels" (picked up black pipette tool., clikced on dark grey eye and thereby re-defined as black).
This had the main effect. Further:
-added saturation to try for a blue sky ->not much effect
- then replaced the pale blue selectively with a stronger blue hue ("replace colour")
- the blue came out with many artifacts and noise, so I used the NeatImage plug-in to reduce noise and sharpened a bit while I was at it.
The resulting picture has a different feel to it, maybe not what you were aiming for.
However, the funny facial expression you captured is more obvious.
Hope you like this variation of your great picture.
Regards,
Gabi |
