We were about 5 meters from the tree. I remember I had to change lenses as I had my 300 and 400 lenses on the two camera bodies and had to put a smaller lense on to get the whole cat.
It was a really luck shot - it took me about 5 visits to Africa to see a cheetah - whereas I had seen leopard (which are much more difficult) on each of those occasions.
