i did this on freeware...so you dont have to spend a lot on getting something to pp your shots..
i dont mean this is good but you can see some ...'improvement' in some areas

Hi Marius,
I correct the levels, used Shadows/ Highlight, 5% setting each.
Sharpen the lion with NiK sharpen Pro 25% and blurred the BG slightly.
And finally add just s small dose of saturation.
I hope ypu like it.

Technique:

Brightness-level lowered (approx. -35 equivalent).

Note:

Altough not much seems to be have done in the workshop ("just brightness"), this was the only thing that gave reasonable results. Auto-B/C levels didn't work: too much contrast and bye-bye-sky. Manually lowering brightness didn't work here (changed sky-color), so I tried to use a different technique for this one.

I correct the levels. Use the tools Shadow/Highlight, 5% setting on each.
Add smart sharpen 200% amount and .3 pixels with lensblur.

I did a workshop to increase the shot (at least in my monitor)
I first of all, used the colour cast corrector to bring some ligth to the picture.
then I just increase sharp toreturn to TN.
I hope you enjoy it.
