| Présentation: | 9 AUGUST 2009, UPDATE AFTER THREE YEARS ON TN: I would like to thank everyone who has written a critique on my photos and my wife Ulla who introduced me to TN just after she joined over three years ago. It has been a great adventure and seeing so many fine images and learning about them has enriched my life. In my long life I have been interested in nature as long as I can remember. In the past I have been mostly interested in butterflies, but now I am focusing more on other insects, birds and my nature photography interest is beginning to extend to other living things that are still to be found in the wild. All my shots are taken in the wild or of wild subjects in my garden. With a few exceptions I only make comments on shots taken under similar conditions. You can find more of my images on PBase Through our greed and overpopulation we are now destroying much of the diversity of life on this planet. Many species unknown to man will disappear before they are discovered. This makes me appreciate nature even more and one way of expressing this is through photography. My notes and critiques are based on what I already know but I have a fairly comprehensive natural history library to back up my statements. I am however prepared to supply the sources of my information when requested and am always open to new findings based on more recent research. | |
