[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
We got up early to catch the morning light on the mountains and found our camp inhabited by about five does and fawns all claiming their spot in the sun. It was the only sunny place around and I hated disturbing them, particularly because when we went to bed it was snowing and the ground was white. I knew why they were reluctant to leave the sun. They haven't grown their winter coats yet and it must have been a chilly night for them.

I did only the usual pp work: slight crop, resize for TN, and sharpen. I did cheat though in that I enhanced the catch lights in the eyes. It made the difference between posting and not posting. Her eyes were matte black and I couldn't retrieve much light. I'm not sure I did it adequately, but it made her come alive! As close as I was to her and she being in the sunlight, I would have thought the eyes wouldn't have been so dull???

Hi Evelynn,
très joli cliché, la densité des couleurs est très bonne. L'image est bien nette, avec une lumière équilibrée.

bravo

Hi Evelynn.
Very good. I think the lightning is good, composition interesting. very well done. tfs. Stev

Hi Evelynn,

Those early mornings pay dividends don't they!
This is a very relaxing photo, she looks so calm and at ease with her situation. Superb sharpness and the light has caught her well and brightened the background.

You've done a grand job with the twinkles in her eyes, I think we'll let you have that as it only adds to the shot! It is surprising that there wasn't one already especially as her nose has caught the light. Perhaps her head is angled such a way that the light didn't hit the eye?

Well done for some great work here,
Regards
Simon

Original captura Evelynn, buen momento,
luz y pov. agradable disparo... saludos

That's the thing about wildlife shots; the eyes are everything!
Definitely a good thing you managed to salvage some light in the eyes. Quite a nice scene here with the deer finding this nice little soft spot of ground beside the shrubs. I'm just curious as to that bit of shadow in the lower right of the photo.

Hello Evelynn,
Nicely framed in the undergrowth, very good color and exposed well. Great sharpness & detail also..Nice job with twinkle too :)
Well done & TFS.

Hi Evelynn,
Nice capture of this deer!
I love the early sun light on him, and the beautiful tones got on the fur.
I like so much this central composition, with all that grasses and herb surrounding.
Very interesting your notea about the PP work on the eyes, I think you did a great job.
Congratulations, thanks for share an my best regards,
JM

I love the light and the pose on this one, Evelynn.
I can't believe how many gorgeous animal photos you got on that Grand Teton trip. They are each more incredible than the next.
She is so tender and vulnerable... Those are the feelings i got from looking at her. A beauty!

Hi Evelynn,
You got close, real close. What a lovely photo with wonderful details highlighted by the morning sun. The shy expression of this lady is perfect. I really love the piece of grass in front of the Elk. The PP work on the eye looks natural, and I am sure that if you didn't mention it, nobody would know.
TFS,
Niek
