Ho Ho Ho. I don't believe. Will i be the first one to criticize one of yours photos ? That's a honor. :-)) The first problem, it's that the person who shotted was not me. too bad .. hehe
.. The second problem is that i did not understant the identification subject but it's ok. I'm just starting.
Speaking seriously, another one piece of collection. It's incrediblemment focused and very nice. Congratulations, Eduardo.
PS: Si tu peux m'envoyer par courrier electronique un video j'aimerai. merci

I can help you with ID Luc. For me this is Soldier Hoverfly :-) Great salutating pose and adequate title. Amazing details. Superb post.

Just perfect!!!! I never saw legs of insect so precisely. Great colours, good shot!
Very interesting POV and BG. What is the BG?
When getting this close one realises that F8 (camera limitation) is not enough for the DOF. Your WS posts which catches it on the broad-side instead of head-on (like the snow flakes and fly you posted) makes better use of the limited DOF and camera limitation. WS1 is an outstanding example and capture for me.
If you closely look at the DOF range in this shot you will notice that it runs from the back of the head to the start of the abdomen. I guess about 5mm, (that's why the thorax and legs are so sharp) amazing isn't it.
Anyway... I love these shots that shows you things the eye can't see. My only real critique here is that if you take a shot like this head-on, the antennae and head should be very sharp and gradualy loose focus towards the back.
I have said to much already, sorry.

Great macro shot .I like the compostion in WS1,BUT Details here orignal one us superb.
Nice macro Luc.
It's little out of focus and shallow DOF and for the first time I'm not agree with Gerhard (sorry my friend)
F8 on compact digi is about F 22 or smaller on a DSRL dependent on that the compact digi has a very small censor.
The problem here I think is the macro-lens you use.
Good POV, colours and details.
Well done my friend.

Very good macro shot, stunning colours and good POV. I'd clone out the 4 white spots on top.

Luc, Very good job on a very difficult subject. Very good DOF/POV for this head-on Hoverfly mugshot.. I'm sure Paul will appreciate it! Congratulations on your 3000th!!

Technically, I think your WS2 is the better of the three captures, but for a fun pose this sure takes the prize - Yes, Sir & heels together ;-))
I agree with Gerhard on the F-8 issue ;-)

Piêkne makro, kolorystyk bardzo ciekawa, super.
Well Luc, this reminds me of The Fly from the early sixties, it sure is a macabre POV, a head waving a hand at you, superbe impact here, IMO.
And I see you break 2k, congrats and keep them comming - there has been a big improvement in your work! Well done my friend

Beautiful photo, Luc. The pose and composition are perfect. Nice point of view too. Just a bit out of DOF the head, but still a fantastic view. I liked very much to see this. Thanks!

Très bonne macro, j'aime bien la couleur orange qui se marie avec les couleurs de l'insecte. Le sujet est net, j'imagine que c'est du pollen qu'il a sur lui.
Hi Luc, thank you so much for the dedication. It's a lovely shot, maybe a little soft in focus in the head but it has lots of impact.
As for the ID I'm pretty sure it is of the genus Sphaerophoria. I can't tell species. For ID purposes it's always good to get a view of the wing patterns and a dorsal view (when possible :))
