|Great Egret (Ardea alba)|
My 3-year old son Kaden asked to take pictures of this bird when we saw him walking through a seagrass bed nearing low tide in Bogue Sound. We set our spotting scope up on the tripod, hooked up the camera, and shot quite a few pictures. This was one of the best. Not very sharp, but a happy shot for me. The best part was having Kaden hold the cable release and operate the camera for each picture, including this one. I was operating the tripod and scope, and wasn't touching the camera when this photo was taken. Thus, this picture is dedicated to the photographer. He will be most exicted to see his picture on Treknature, since this is one of his favorites places to look at pictures. I look forward to seeing more of his photos as he grows.
