Knob-Billed Duck (Male)
|[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe|
|I have captured this 'Knob-Billed Duck' (Sarkidiornis melanotos) or 'African Comb Duck' in Kruger National Park during our morning game drive. I wasn't lucky to get its frontal view, but at least he looked at me for a second and I used that opportunity. I found female one also, sitting on top of a bare tree.|
'Knob-Billed Duck' are found in tropical wetlands in sub Saharan Africa and South Asia from Pakistan to Laos.
Male is larger than the female and has a black "Knob" (see in picture).

Hi Srikumar. The duck turns the head in the best way to have the best view from this POV. A very beautiful and strange one, curious face and lovely plumage colors. The quality is the best,no needs comment...have a nice week and thanks,Luciano
Hi neighbour :-)
Spectacular shot. I don't know, what f-stop you used, but the flat background's very well separated from the conspicuous duck. Fantastic sharpness, pose, composition and lovely blue feathers. Congratulations!
Kind regards from Ireland, László

Absolutely gorgeous specimen with an array of bright colors in its plumage. You were fortunate that it decided to give you a glance before you took the shot. Top quality as usual. Well done!!
The bird is well placed in the frame. The point of view is showing the detailsd of the Knob-Billed Duck. The good luminosity is bringing out the beauty of the colors. It is clear and sharp. Have a nice day.
