Merci.
Bonne semaine
Amicalement

Hello Catherine,
A beautiful scene showing that even in the darkness of winter there is beauty to be found!
The golden light of the sun through the clouds makes a B&W version unsuitable and the composition of the bare alder and willow trees against the sky and fields is great with the high water of the river rushing by.
Well done and thanks for sharing a way of brightening up the winter!
Ivan

Hello Catherine,
A beautiful winter capture, almost b/w, showing a landscape very similar to wht we have here. I like the point of view, the lovely light and great DOF in this image.
Many thanks and best regards, Ulla

Hallo Catherine
What a wonderful view. I think seeing this for real must be an awesome experience. What a fantastic peace of nature you have captured and how thankful I am that you are sharing it with us. It looks so peaceful and serene and the tranquillity is perceptible. The atmosphere is magic, just as your photography here. Thanks for sharing this wonderful place. Best regards.
Anna

Hi Catherine

I really like your note on this one and good to see that you can still find wild places along its length. Certainly looks cold today though, sometimes I wish we had such pronounced seasons.... Good compositon.
Have a wonderful christmas and New Year
Chris

splendid scene, the composition the winter colors, very good presentation Catherine, my wishes for Christmas!

Hy Catherine
After your notes describing the diversity that could be found there, I hope I will visit once that Ourthe valley. I would like to see clear running waters like in the Ardenns (here we have muddy -still channels) without spectacullar sights. Lovelly composition, freezing atmosphere. But a question: how did you obtain this format: you made a crop, because is not like a veritical picture taken with the camera. Do you have a secret??

All the best,
Oana

Hi Cathy,
Fantastically composed landscape almost with monochromatic tones... Absolutely beautiful and with full of tranquillity. Bravo. At the same time I hope you'll once return to the site.
Best regards, László
