Un étrange fungus, trouvé dans un bois de hêtres.

Geastrum triplex Jungh.
Famille : Geastraceae
Noms communs : Collared Earthstar [En], Géastre à trois enveloppes [Fr], Gekraagde aardster [Nl], Halskrausen Erdstern [De]

Merhaba Catherine,
Tipik şapkalı mantarlara benzemeyen oldukça ilginç bir fruktifikasyona sahip bir mantar.
Türkiye'de de Geastrum türleri var.
Eline sağlık,
Ömer.

nice strange fongus, TFS Ori

Hello Catherine,
Your right about this being a strange looking fungus, I have never seen one quite like it before. I am guessing that once it gets old and dried out, that you could step on it and a powder like substance would shoot out of the tiny hole in it's top. We do have some around here that act in this manner once they fully mature.
You have captured fine detail and good natural coloration. Your choice of an f/13 aperture has resulted in wonderful DOF and the exposure is right on the money. Well done!!

Hello Catherine,
this is a special and unique presentation of the fungi. I don't think I have seen any in my place.
Such a new scene to me, and the subject stands out beautifully on the brown fallen leaves.

Regards,
Foozi

Hi Cathy,
Nice pic of the old Geastrum triplex. Awesome light management and contrast - probably the crop is a bit tight. Otherwise an excellent shot. Congrats and tfs.
Have a great new year, friendly regards, László
