[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
Hi All,

Well this old boy certainly has eyes bigger than his stomach. Here you can see him climbing into a rather large eel that washed up on the beach. I think that the eel must have been dumped by fishermen or something cause it was gutted and headless.

Hope you enjoy

Very nice capture !
It's the time of lunch for this bird.

Nice shot Erich.
The seagull is either very hungry or greedy.
Well captured.
Great composition. Your fast shutter speed has stopped the water, love the water droplets.

What a strange scene!!!!
You captured this moment very interesting but... I'm affraid a little of this photo :-))))

Ha Ha.. he has a feast ahead! Yum yum... but only if you are a seagull. Well seen. Good low POV, excellent catchlight in the eye, nicely presented, the water splashes are superb, but unfortunately, the focus is a bit soft. Other than that.. great work. Thanks.

Well captured Erich, they'll eat anything and they are always hungry! Good POV shot on his level. The water action looks great. Well done.

this is an big meal for the bird. Very interesting scene. Good job.

A fine shot of this unusual scene... Love the splashing water and the diagonal composition.
I think that a little tweek of PS to sharpen the seagull, at least its head, would be nice .

Great shot! Looks like it's going to have a big fiesta ;-) Nice composition and DOF. Good details of the gull and splashing water. Interesting scene. TFS

Very nice actionshot. The picture is a bit soft. You must have a look a the sharpness setting on the 20D, it must be on +2 to be the same sharpness as the 300D. Either that or you must sharpen more. Did you have a 300D before as I did? I initially had a problem with that. Otherwise it is a fantastic picture.

Great action. One of the things I love the most about nature photography is catching water and mud splashes like you have here.
I might have aledt a bit more space to left and right of the image to include the tip of the gull's tail and more of the "meal". I am about to post a workshop dealing with the sharpness aspect. Have also commented on Jan Hendrik's WS. Hope you like it. Cheers, Rob
