[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
Scilla cilicica (Lilliaceae) is quite rare, and has some of the “bluest” flowers I know among our flora. Even the pollen is blue! It typically grows in damp, rocky, shady areas. The stalk is up to 15 cm tall and flowers are about 15-20 mm in diameter.

The roundish leaves you see in the background belong to Umbilicus intermedius, a common rock dwelling plant of the Crassulaceae. Only one slender leaf of the Scilla is seen in the bottom of the picture.

What a beautiful plant, Ishi, and interesting notes. They are beautiful flowers, a species I have never seen and I would love to see the blue pollen! Thank you for showing these wildflowers, beautiful,

Francine

nice to know it is blooming now (Hyacinthaceae and not Liliaceae anymore), it looks like it had umbilicus leaves :) happy tu-bishvat, Ori

Hello Ishi,
Beautiful Photo!
nice DOF & great natural colors!
TFS,
Dejan

Beautiful capture and good exposure Ishi, sure I'm seeing this plant for the first time. Maybe not its own, but those roundish leaves in the BG become these flowers nicely indeed!
Cheers,
Mehmet

Bonjour Ishi,
Agréable publication dans laquelle les sujets sont bien mis en valeur, sous un belle lumière et un bonne profondeur de champ, grâce à leur très bonne opposition dans leur environnement.
A bientôt sur TN pour de nouvelles aventures.
Gérard
