Hi Rick,
Very nice story, interesting and amusing. I know these birds well, they attack me all the time in the spring trying to protect their nests.
I did not know they do the same with other big creatures like Moose. Very good posting. TFS

Hi Rick,
That little bird in the reeds attacked this moose? Unbelievable. A wonderful story and a great shot. The moose seems to be enjoying himself making ripples in the water. Wonderful natural colors and nice details. A very nice nature scene.

Wow Rick, great shot! I love the moose, it's my dream to face one one day. This picture is great and I love the little tiny bird beside the big beast, can you imagine, the moose left! It is a lovely picture, Rick, I like the water falling in the pond, the circles, the herbs and the tiny bird besides the moose. Thanks,
Francine

Tres' cute story and picture of the whole thing...a nice unique way to present eh? I have my proper Canadian accent down notice eh? And if pressured I will also say "hockey) shhhhh... not that this has anything to do with your neat image...This truly looks like a candid shot...I almost feel like a voyeur of sorts...the moose appears to be an amazing animal in many ways as I am now learning through you pictures and stories..I really , in a strange exciting way, like the one where the doggone thing was gonna get ya! See...now there is the deal where I don't feel badly about my rifle...and another thing...every time I see a Moose image now I think of Northern Exposure...it was a TV show I watched quite often and filmed not far from me...well relatively speaking...but had a moose as sort of a mascot... So wonderful candid shot my good friend! and to be correct in Canada...Projectile franc tellement merveilleux mon bon ami ! Which of course are the wrong words I think...but I digress

A very nice shot you have captured here, I like how the Moose is looking at the Blackbird cautiously, it really backs up your story! I've seen these blackbirds in action when my dog got a little too close to their nest, even when crows are flying high above they just dart right after them! Well captured! In the spring and fall moose are more common, but in the summer it is a rare sight for me, I hadn't seen one moose on my excursions in the bush until this year, and after that I saw them on a regular basis! Anyways I'm blabbering on, I just have one more comment, the photo looks like it could use a little sharpening, maybe resizing blurred it a bit so I created a workshop, TFS

Hello Rick,
I'm glad she didn't attack you! This is a superb and very well-timed capture of the Moose in a fine pose and the little Blackbird in the reeds! There's a lovely atmosphere about it and you've focussed in very nicely on both. Fine sharpness, lovely colours and I like the rings on the water. A great composition too.
Many thanks, Ulla

What a brave Blackbird! How could a massive Moose get scared by something so small and harmless :)
Excellent detail in the photo from the water falling from the Moose's mouth to the tiny splash of red on the blackbird's wing!
Very sharp with great clarity.
The composition is superb!
Brilliant notes :)
Well done Rick,
Joe

Hi Rick,
i would've loved to have seen that attack! However, you have got a great shot of this Moose. Love the watery setting and the composition is great, as the river leads away inot the BG diaginally and helps creat depth. Well done my friend,
Paul

Hi Rick,
I haven't seen much photo's of this animal. I guess its quite shy. You caught these two together and thats very unusual. Therefore: great shot.

Hi Rick,
I like to see this moose in a full environment, as this one is not disturbing. Lovely to see the contrast between the moose and the red-winged blackbird. Tiny, tiny my eyes went almost straight to the bird because of his bright colours compare to the moose. Wll done!

Great shot of a Moose, Rick!
This has fine action as this cow is looking up from drinking water (or eating water weeds), while a Red-winged Blackbird is gaurding its territory. Nice composition, sharpness and POV.
Well done and thanks for sharing this,
Ivan
