A small part (35+) of a flock of about 500 which inhabit our town from December to February each year. They are classed as protected and uncommon, inhabiting an area of about 200 miles around here.
Sorry for the quality of the photo, but it is difficult to get closer than 50m and my camera has only a 250mm tele lens
Compared to other sites I have visited to see wild birds, these are in the townsite and suurounding paddocks: an as the town has only about 100 residents and about 40 houses; so are very accessable.

Hello PETER,

A very good environmental shot that shows the birds in threir natural habitat.
You are lucky to stay in that town.
You can use your 250mm and go nearer to the tree and get close up pic.
Well exposed that shows white subject against the sky/leaves.
