[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
Hello to all my friends,
A good friend of mine, Douglas Fisher, a Canadian who lived in here for the past 20 years as commercial photographer has invited me to join him for the pleasure and passion on landscape photographing, so we decided to revisit Karekare on the Christmas day in the morning before the beach goers and surfers packed up in the afternoon! The weather was not favourable as it seems as you see it from the photo, but I just managed to capture this one with a few minutes of the sunlight that comes from the top right corner! and back to grey sky again!
On the right side of the photo, the smooth cliff or rock is the well known icon of Karekare - The Watchman - also the movie "The Piano" was filmed at this location

To BOB(bobcat08) - This is Karekare how it's look since your last visit in 2005!

Sharing with you all and thank you for viewing!

Hi Tony,

What fantastic scenery you have in New Zealand. This is so simple and so beautiful. I love the composition with just a touch of the sea rolling into the shore. The sand, the cliff, the sky are all wonderful.

Jane

I like the expanse of sand leading like a arrow deep into the scene. Color saturation is really good. The greens look very natural. Nice work.

Hi Tony, this is a beautiful landscape of your beautiful country. I love that long deserted beach leading to the green hill in the forehground, clear and sharp as ever. I like the water, to the left, melting with the sky. thank you and happy new year!

Francine

Hello Tony,
I like your composition and notes. The movie piano is also a fav of mine and my wife. Well kept fg to show most of the details while leaving less on not-so-handsome sky.
Best regards,
Jusni

Hi Tony,
Great image with excellent detail, exposure and good use of thirds with the deep foreground and high horizon. I simply love the rich colours of the landscape in New Zealand... Simply beautiful!
TFS Best wishes,
Thomas

Hi Tony!
fabulous sea-scape!
You always bring out the best in a location making everyone who views your photos dying to go there :)
The colours are vibrent and rich and you have exposed this perfectly by keeping the detail in the sky while not under-exposing the land.
Very sharp and detailed.
Great work once again!
Well done,
Joe

Hello Tony,
The large sandy beach with this particular shape makes a good lead-in to the cliffs in the back!
Impressive to see how the lush vegetation covers the rock...
A lovely composition with a good sky!
Greetings,

Hi Tony,
It's a beautiful beach. I liked the POV, composition, DOF and the details. TFS

Hi Tony,
A fine capture of this landscape. BTW does S2IS gives you freedom to change you shutterspeed? If it does then a little less shutterspeed i.e. say 1/20 or 1/10 would have made the sky look more dramatic? This is only my thought as you are an expert in landscapes you can help me out. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Sorry for not mentioning a nice dedication for Mr. Bob.

Hello Tony!
Beautiful sand and beach! Wonderful seascape!
Good story!
TFS, Cheers,
Zorica

Hello Tony, wonderful composition with perfect exposure and great details, well done on this one again ! THanks !

Hello Tony,

Thanks to show me the difference from Karekare beach between my visit in march 2005 and yours in december last year. I have my photograph there beside obliged and the large difference is nevertheless the beach. I had a very flat beach. And at this moment is the beach has been a lot raised. But your photo has more clarity, more natural colors. And your POV is near by the sea. My POV were at the hillocks. Thats an another difference. Anyway I'm a bit jealous on your photo. He's magnificent. I posted my photo as WS. Regards and TFS BOB

Bonjour Tony,

Effectivement, on aperçoit ce petit rayon de soleil qui vient éclairer la falaise et fait ressortir les couleurs.

Bon réflexe ! Bravo !

Liliane

Hi Tony,

This one works really well, with the slight rise in the sand taking the eve through the image and adding interest across the foreground. The land mass stands out really well to give a focal point. A very clever image.

Mike

Justa profundidad para una bella panorámica tal como nos tienes acostumbrados. Un abrazo.

Hi Tony
This is a beautiful landscape with great natural colors. Very sharp with good detail. I like the foreground you have added it leads you right into the scene very nicely.
Another great shot Tony, thanks for sharing
Tom

This is one of those places that once I arrived, I'd never want to leave. Tony, this is a stunning shot - a piece of paradise, and maybe the only one you'd be allowed to return home with! This would make a great print!

Cheers, Penny

Hi Tony,
it is photos like this one that makes me wish that I could see just such a place with my own two eyes.A truly outstanding photo with much detail and colour going for it.It was a good thing that you took the time to wait for the sun to shine and create this warm looking photo for my winter weary eyes. One question is how tall are those rocks in the background and are they an easy climb? Thanks for yet an other great landscape and all the best to you in this now new year. Bob

What a wonderful "Christmas Pictures". It's hard to remember, that our winter is summer for you. But it is so nice to see green grass and warm sea instead of snow and cold water. Well done and thanks for sharing

Hello Ho,
New Zealand is beautiful; that is what your images are saying...
Very enjoyable...
