Dear Pierre,
A beautifully composed photo showing perfectly to the viewer the unusual landscape of the St Lawrence river.

I was there in June 2006 - on a 1000 islands cruise from Rockport - and your eye-level view of this little island vividly brings back that trip.

Apropos eye-level view - did you use a water-proof camera - and hang it into the river?

The bits of blue sky at 9 o'clock in your photo, together with the rain-clouds at 2 o'clock add interest to the photo as well as hinting at the changeable weather conditions in this area.

I personally, actually prefer cloudy skies for landscapes - everywhere in the world - the light is much softer and the atmosphere of the photo more interesting.

The little blue marker at the left end of the island reminds me of the "slalom" like course the boat had to take to avoid the shallows.
