I thought I'd pop by for a bit and see how things were going! This shot here was one that I was waiting for and at this moment, everything came together.
The white birds in the field are migrating trumpeter swans who appear in this area briefly over the winter months.
I was glad they hung around until after sunset and the full moon came up. The fresh snow on the mountians and whisps of clouds were bonus.
For extra punch to the image, I ran this single file into an HDR program called "Dynamic HDR" for more even tones and added contrast.
The shot was taken hand-held from a highway overpass.
