[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
I found this Green Heron at the Wakodahatchee Wetlands area in West Palm Beach, FL. It is rare to find an area with so many wonderful birds packed into such a small area. A true photographer's dream.

Amazing! Great shot of that heron, hard to imagine you could capture it from so close and even with flash. Perfect exposure, nice composition, fantastic details. Congratulations and welcome to TN! Michal

Nice picture!
Focus is very sharp and exposure is excellent. The fill-in flash did a great job giving excellent details in the feathers. I am not crazy about the high POV, on the other hand it gave a nice green BG against which the bird's shape is well defined.
Great work and TFS

Excellent detail in the plumage, well done, this is a hard bird to get a decent shot were the plumage show well, you were on the mark.

Greg

Stunning colors and POV on this green heron, Robert. Very sharp details and excellent composition. Well done and TFS. : )

A green heron on a green pond, how apt.

Very nice exposure and a different POV. Super details and sharpness, well done.

Hi Robert,
A unique POV here. You do not see many shots from this angle on Herons. The colors are very vivid, and detail is very sharp. Flash exposure is right on the money here. Nice shot!
Scott

Hi Robert,
I like the different point of view of this green heron. The green wetlands makes a very nice background for your picture.
Hope you have more picture taken from this paradise.

Great shot of this bird, which shows the colrs in the wing well and expalins, I imaginbe, why it is called a Green Heron. I also use the 80-400 VR - I am curious about whether others are using it with the VR on or off as they shoot wildlife, since I think that slows it down - when there's enough light, I turn it off.
