[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
A was taken some pictures from Miami Beach, an I capture this pelican.

A pelican is any of several very large water birds with a distinctive pouch under the beak belonging to the bird family Pelecanidae. Along with the darters, cormorants, gannets, boobies, frigatebirds, and tropicbirds, it makes up the order Pelecaniformes. Like other birds in that group, pelicans have all four toes webbed (they are totipalmate). Modern pelicans are found on all continents except Antarctica. They are birds of inland and coastal waters and are absent from polar regions, the deep ocean, oceanic islands, and inland South America.

Hi Lawhill,
This is a well timed capture of an impressive bird in flight.
Nicely composed although a little soft in places.
TFS
Steve

Very nice in flight shot Lawhill.
Exposure is good, but composition would have been better with a little more space on the right side, the side the bird is looking/flying to.
The image does miss a bit of sharpness.
Best regards, Harry

Hello Lawhill, very good shot of this young Brown Pelican, I think the bird is too centered maybe a little more space would give him more water to land.. but still a fine capture my friend, well done...

I agree with some about the softness...but the moment you captured was perfecto! They certainly look like a strong bird eh? I'll bet you felt fortunate to get your camera up in time...Nice job.
