[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
This is the strange looking fish I posted yesterday that was been consumed by the California Gull. This fish was alive when I photographed it. See the "feet" like features it has? When I touched it, the fish tried to bit me, so I left it alone 'til the Gull showed up and showed no mercy. Any idea of what fish it could be?

Hello Everton,
I think this is a species of Sea Robin (Triglidae). Nice sharp frontal capture, even if it tried to capture you before the gull finished it off!
Thanks,
Ivan

The friend "Ärgus" is right, it is a "sea robin" although it is somewhat difficult to specify exactly the species.

It's a good photo of this nice fish. They are part of the spines (6 total) modified in the lower body and pectoral muscles used to move the legs as primitive.

A very curious fish, shot with very good eye!

Good job, congratulations and thanks for sharing!

Hi Everton.
Stunning portrait of the fine fish. POV cannot be better as well as DOF and details of the pictured model. Natural colours and great lighting are great too. Bravo. Well done.
Alexei.
