|This so-called "Large Salmon Arab", is actually a small butterfly found in Israel, Syria, Turkey, and all the way to India. It is quite common here in the summer and fall. This specimen is a male. The female is usually lighter in color and with different markings. The caterpillar feeds here on Capparis plants.|
The WS shows the same specimen with open wings.

One would never guess that this is a small butterfly from this POV, a wonderful close up image. Lovely colors with plenty of visible detail. The exposure is great, we can easily see every vein on the underside of its wings. The WS is of equal quality. Well done!!
