This is another in-flight shot taken at night with my led headlight help. You can see that drop behind the back wings, maybe a toilet time:-)

The id is aedia leucomelas, a species of southern Europe, North Africa, tropical Asia and Australia. The larva feeds on Calystegia sepium.

Many thanks to Ben from ukmoths@yahoogroups for id help and infos.

The adult moth is sooty black, with a light grey patch on the fore wings containing a pattern like an opening flower bud. The hind wings have white basal areas and white torni and termens. The moth while at rest, displays these white patches by opening and closing its wings. The undersides of the wings have white basal areas, and the fore wings each have a crescent-shaped black discal dot.

The species is found over much of the world. The subspecies acronyctoides is found over the whole of mainland Australia.

The placement of this genus, Aediaq, into a subfamily is the subject of some controversy. Some authors place it in CATOCALINAE, but the "Checklist of Australian Lepidotera", on which these webpages are based, places it in ACRONICTINAE.

Infos are from here...

Hello Ersin !
You managed to get an in-flifgt shot during the night, must be very difficult. But the result is beautiful, you have sharp details on your moth. Also a beautiful composition and an excellent use of your flash. Excellent to have this drop on your photo. Very well done !
valerie.

Interesting picture of this colourful moth taking a leak, Ersin. You have caught the precious ball of moisture in the air with amazing precision :-)!
As usual, your judicious use of fill flash provides an apt BG for the main subject.
TFS and bye.

Merhaba Ersin.
İnsana söyleyecek fazla söz bırakmayan bir kare. Adamın dışkısına varana kadar yakalamışsın. Yani pes. :) Nefis bir çalışma olmuş dostum. Tebrikler.
Selam ve saygılar.
