***Un oiseau pour Bayram***
Today we are neighbors! I hope the trip to Greece and Turkey was very pleasant.
I saw you already posted images, but expect some flowers. I'm not a big fan of reptiles, but the birds do. But it seems that this bird is rather dark. Maybe it's my monitor, which is pretty dark
I do not believe it: the increasingly members leave the site, and just all too upset. I hope Bayram changes his mind: we need him because is a very good biologist and secondly, a very good photographer!

Hi Catherine. Firstly let me talk about the picture of the Bunting . Taken with a fine feather detail and good use of the light which has given natural colours. From the eye level POV we can see the wing markings. Well taken.
I have not been around much as i have had to to a lot of other things. I was sadened to see are good friend Bayram had taken his pictures of the site. I hope that in time he comes back.

I love this bird that I was delighted to see and capture once on Cyprus. Great focus on the pretty eye and you show its beautiful markings and colours very clearly here. I like its pose too and the rocky background.
I'm very sorry about Bayram's reaction, he knows that we are many who value his contributions!
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

A beautiful Bunting - a bird I have only seen in pictures. A wonderful shot from Turkey which should bring a smile to Bayram's face.
Shortly after Bayram joined TN we adopted each other as brother and sister. I will miss his presence here more than I can say. I can only hope that in time he will return.

Wow ... I have no idea as was the "altercation" ... but it certainly is a tragic loss, the information provided by Bayram was very valuable! ... must have been a very serious problem for him to take this decision, but must be respected...

A beautiful bird to Bayram with well respected comments you have made about him. No one couldve done it better because you have met, and spent time with him. He spent almost all his life to reach his dream goals and to always better himself, some people should respect that what ever their circumstances are. A true Nature lover.......

I respect his decision even if leave is not the best way to respond to criticism, it is easy to be friends when all things go well, but not just abandon all for the widely criticized by anyone, even other friends deserve respect

According to my Field Guide of Birds in Southern Africa, there are lots of Buntings in South Africa, but not the one depicted in your photo, a Cretzschmar's Bunting.
I like very much the natural colours in your photo, and the way you controlled the depth of field; a pleasure to view this image.
I googled Pamukkale and you must have had a great time in this important historic spot in Turkey.
Thanks for your contribution
Kind regards from South Africa
