This is one of the first flowers to pop up after the first autumn rains (which we had in the past week). This is the smallest of the Scilla species we have in Israel. The flowers are just 5 mm in diameter, so it is a challenge to capture their beauty.
This flower was taken earlier today in the Carmel National Park. Lichens on rocks provide the background color. |
