(Indeed it was a great luck finding this two woodpeckers so close....I think they fight....I post another image in the workshop taken in very bad light conditions)

The great spotted woodpecker (Dendrocopos major) is a medium-sized woodpecker with pied black and white plumage and a red patch on the lower belly. Males and young birds also have red markings on the neck or head. This species is found across Eurasia and parts of North Africa. Across most of its range it is resident, but in the north some will migrate if the conifer cone crop fails.

he adult great spotted woodpecker is 20–24 cm long, weighs 70–98 g and has a 34–39 cm wingspan. The upperparts are glossy blue-black, with white on the sides of the face and neck. Black lines run from the shoulder to the nape, the base of the bill and about halfway across the breast.

Hi Marius,a second lovely pic dedicated to these woodpeckers so close on the same tree, the quality is absolutely perfect, not easy from this distance and with this light. I like the moving effect of your WS too. Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano

Hello Marius,
Nice photo of these woodpeckers with a beautiful blurred background. Fine composition too.

Very interesting species of Woodpecker, Marius.
The focus is sharp on both subjects.
Lovely colours!
