Despite I cannot spend more time in countryside this year this season was fruitful enough for bird shooting. This summer I could get photos of few species that I wanted to have the years. Shared photo illustrates one of them. Unfortunately, I do not know its ID and I am hope for your help.

Last time this species is widespread around our gardens. The size of the birds is larger than a size of starling and smaller than a size of pigeon. The birds are too cautious and fearful. That is why I could not come close to them and take quality shots few years. Thanks to my 24 MP crop-camera and telelens, I have such opportunity now. This shot is also taken from a far distance. Nevertheless we can discern the features of the species.

The birds have species sound and shout. It is hard not to know these birds among dense trees. It is hard to picture them only :).

Thanks for visiting one of the few Ukrainian pages on the site and support of the Ukrainian people in their struggle for the country's integrity, independence and the European choice.

Thanks to Peter (PeterZ) and Hernan (nanreh) now I know correct ID of the species. It is Eurasian golden oriole.

Hello Alexei,
This is a marvelous photo of a male Golden Oriole, Oriolus oriolus.
Fantastic quality in all aspects and a beauty!
Wish you all the best in these difficult days.
Regards,
Peter

Alexei; I understand that this is a female golden oriole Eurasian, I leave here a link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oriolus_oriolus.

Beautiful photography, very sharp and with the added bonus of seeing this bird with fruits at their peak, (apparently blackberries) surely part of their usual diet.

PS: I hope everything will be resolved in your country, Ukraine, no more bloodshed, no more deaths, no more destruction. Because, Alexei, few things, almost none, justify or die. Life is beautiful and short, to shorten it even more. And the flags and political and religious ideals has killed more people, they have destroyed more dreams than any natural disaster ...
Do not kid yourself, your flag is your family and personal affections; and your country (which is also mine) is the planet Earth (hence, Argentina is also of Ukrainians) World powers play with us, but do not fall into their traps ... True independence is in our heart. Please those who desire power are those who die for, and no one else. Dude, you and the beautiful people of Ukraine must prioritize life.

Many years ago I had a student (I have been a teacher ever ...) of your country, called Olga Tsuraka (told me that it had been a good judoka) and never forget his sympathy and his taste for vodka "Finland" :)

Hi Alexei!
Great shot of this Oriole with yellow on its body portrayed beautifully. Great point of view, beautiful catch-light in the visible eye and a perfect blue sky highlighting this beautiful bird effectively,
Thanks for sharing,
Best Regards,
AKBAR

Alex,
We have a lot of these birds in Canada; this one is the Golden Oriole. They make a lot of noise to "show-off" their nesting sites.
10/10 image.
Am still using the PROXY link to get in; my server, Telus, has not yet changed my IP #. Will be able to post once this situation is resolved.
Hope your country sees PEACE once more soon.
Most kind regards from Mario.

Ciao Alexei, great capture of lovely bird and its prey, fine details, wonderful colors and splendid sharpness, very well done, my friend, ciao Silvio

Hi Alexei. Very impressive large bird. Your high megapixel camera served you well here. He looks like he's got blackberries. Maybe for his young if there might be a nest near by. You framed the picture well and everything seems fine. You've also got a nice rich sky. Nice to see. TFS Trevor

Hello Alexei,
It is refreshing to know that there are TN members who are willing to help others when they need an ID. Thanks to Peter and Hernan you now have your specimen identified.
A nicely presented image showing this beautiful bird with two berries in it's beak. Your oriole was posed in full sunlight allowing you to capture excellent eye contact and wonderful detail. This is a new bird for me, thank you for sharing!!

Hello Alexei

You did a great shot of this bird, and your title has for me also another meaning...
I have always asked why all these wars between countries, between religions, humans...
I wish the best for your country and all that region of the world as elsewhere where are wars...
very fine POV obtaining the expressive eye-contact, and the catch-light rendering
the photo always more beautiful, excellent light, great contrast, TFS

Privet Alexei,
Excellent photo both composition- and technical-wise. The braanch in vertical position is like a complementary subject agaainst the beautiful, sharp oriole, and the contrast between the yellow plumage and the blue sky is simply awesome. Fantastic photo, with a metaphoric title - may peace reach your country soon. I hope to see you more regularly here if you'll have time and energy for TN.
Best regards, László

Dear Alexei,
the golden oriole in magnificently powerful presentation is bringing its melodious "dolioo" song freshly into my memory. A familiar sound, but very hard to approach the very shy colorful bird. Excellent work done with great patience, knowledge, and skill. With thanks, and all my best wishes to you,
Peter
