Hello John,
What an attractive shot of this Hoopoe foraging in its natural habitat. Your focus is sharp giving us a great look at its unique body features and lovely plumage. Their long curved beak and elongated head crest have always reminded of the working end of a mattock.
I saw my first and only Hoopoe last year while visiting Israel. It was a thrill that I will never forget it.

Hi John,an excellent capture of this beautiful upupa,i like a lot the natural composition and the great sharpness on the bird despite the distance and the difficult light. Have a nice day and thanks,Luciano
