Hi Lou,welcome back from a fresh pic of these very curious mushrooms! A great macro showing us the best details despite the very small dimensions. Excellent and useful WS with the open mushrooms too. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

A great shot of this unusual looking fungi, they are shaped like the caps of an acorn. Exceptional detail and beautiful green coloring. I like the WS image as well.

You were off TN for quite sometime, Laurens, so welcome back!
Very interesting Fungi at this time of the year in your area.
The picture is marvellous.
I do recall similar species in my native place in the Himalayas when I was young.

CATINELLA OLIVACEA unknown so far for me and that is very beautiful and strange. But what pleases me most, Laurens, is to have the opportunity to greet you and find you again after another of my long distances. A great hug for you, for an eternal and constant member that enriches importantly the base of images of mushrooms of TrekNature, among others.

Fantastic species, very rare in my home country, Hungary also - unfortunately I never found this beauty myself yet. About composition and white balance, I have a bit different ideas, what I demonstrate with a workshop - however, finding this rarity alone deserves the highest credit, especially when supported with a good photo.
Kind regards from Ireland, László
