An artfull tele-close up Zeno, the overall sharp focus provides us with a high degree of detail from the viewpoints of plumage and coloration while the shallow DOF leaves the BG pleasantly OOF. The classical posture of the goldfinch on a dried thistle makes this take a perfect composition. TFS and cheers my friend,

Hi Zeno. Once a gain you have a fine capture of the beautifull looking bird. such fine detail and natural colours. I like the pose with the head turned and light in the eye. well done TFS.

Zo zie je maar dat geduld uiteindelijk beloond wordt. Wat een glashelder plaatje is dit geworden. Ze zeggen weleens zo scherp als een scheermes. Nou dat is die ook. Vol fijne details met een heel rustig gecreeerde achtergrond. Doet het puttertje veel goed. Mooie natuurlijke kleuren. Goede POV en DOF. Uitstekende compositiie. Klassewerk. Prettige avond en tot TFS BOB

Dit zijn vogels die je hier in het westen nauwelijks ziet. Je hebt er een geweldig mooie foto van gemaakt. Alles in deze foto klopt. Scherpte, kleuren, achtergrond, houding, compositie en helderheid zijn fantastisch.

Your goldfinches are the most beautiful I have seen, Zeno. You manage to capture perfection with perfection, it is so sharp and the light is great, the exposure perfect. It's a joy to my eyes to look at this picture, from the dried seeds to the divine bird standing on it. Thank you!

I've been after a shot of a Goldfinch for a while, but haven't managed to get anything decent yet. This is perfect. Goldfinches are great looking little birds, and you have certainly done this one justice. Lovely detail and naturally sharp, but with a soft feel. Colours and light are spot on and the background stunning. Simply perfect.
