Hi again Mario,

This is a male Italian Wall Lizard :o) (Podarcis sicula) since it has a big masseteric plate on temporal region and uderside mainly whitish-unspotted (as I could seen from your capture somewhat). It also resembles P. muralis (Common Wall Lizard) but it has not such green colour-pattern: it has brownish colouration. Also it typically has dark markings on throat and often on belly, which may be red in breeding seaoson (i.e. now). Eventually your capture is absolutely Italian Wall Lizard my friend! It also trensmitted anthropogenically to many areas outside Italy (such as Istanbul and Kocaeli provinces which are situated Marmara). You captured it with superb clarity, nice DOF and POV. TFS.

I cannot give you any clue about the ID of this reptile, Mario.
I can only express my delight at this lovely capture though.
It is a wonderful capture of the lizard while it basks on a rock in the sun.
Thanks for this great image from your trip to Italy.

Remind me not to go to Italy if the one writer said it is a 'wall lizard'...I have things enough crawling on my walls:-) Very nice change from your birds, but I hope you don't think I am going to be doing many more birds...! HA! I am lucky to have the ones I did...and now I will go back to my landscapes and flowers I think and if by chance maybe a butterfly or a some such...Very nice Mario!

Wow, what a colourful reptile captured mario.
I am sorry , am also quite clueless on these.But i have to congratulate you on this fine shot. Nice PoV with superb sharpness, details and clarity.THe texture also has been picked up very well and the body's green so wonderful.

I prefer not to critique reptiles as I do not have enough knowledge on the subject. However this colourful lizard caught my eye and I cannot resist saying a few words about your image. I am so used to you mostly posting images of birds and this one was really a pleasant surprise. The details in your image are clear and outstanding. The colours are really bright and displays well and the textures and patterns of the skin is really super. The clarity of the eye and scales is great and the focus is spot on. Thanks for sharing.

What a stunningly coloured Lizard!
This is a male Wall Lizard I think, I often go to Italy (my grandad is Italian) and I see loads of these though I didn't have a camera last time I went :-( I've never seen one as green as this though!
Excellent sharpness and detail.
Superb colours and light.
The DOF is great!

What? But it's not a bird. Mario, it's nice to see you do shot other things than just bird. I like the color of it's back blending in with the leave the rest blending in with the rock. Very unique. Good sharpness and clarity, color and lights all well managed with good composition.
