[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
At the moment(23-11-2009) I think this is Idaea rubraria also and not Idaea degeneraria; S see for the discription of I. rubraria the text there.
If someone can help me identifying this moth I would be happy. Do you also think it is I. rubraria and not I. degeneraria?

Idaea degeneraria(Hübner, 1799)/ UK: Portland Ribbon Wave / DE: Veränderlicher Magerrasen-Kleinspanner / SK: piadivka premenlivá / CZ: žlutokřídlec proměnlivý.

Wingspan 26-31 mm.

The stronghold of this moth in Britain is an area in Dorset, on the Isle of Portland. It also occurs occasionally as a migrant along the south coast.

Flying in June and July, sometimes later on the continent, the species is attracted to light.

Little is known of the foodplant in the wild in Britain, but in captivity the larvae will feed on dandelion (Taraxacum) and knotgrass (Polygonum).
