Tipik şapkalı mantarlara benzemeyen oldukça ilginç bir fruktifikasyona sahip bir mantar.
Türkiye'de de Geastrum türleri var.

Good specimen for sure. It has a musty fall feel to it. Interesting effect for an image; almost like an aura. A tip of the educational hat from....

This is unique looking fungi that I'm not familiar with. I used to see puffball all the time but the dome at the top is amazing.
Thanks and kind regards,

A fine capture of a fungus in the Earth Star, taken with fine use of flash to bring out the colours, beech leaf BG and sharpness in a pleasing composition.
Thanks and have a good weekend,

An excellent capture of this interesting fungus showing sharp details and natural colours against the leafy background. Not exactly a beauty to look for but I'd love to find it here next year.
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

Your right about this being a strange looking fungus, I have never seen one quite like it before. I am guessing that once it gets old and dried out, that you could step on it and a powder like substance would shoot out of the tiny hole in it's top. We do have some around here that act in this manner once they fully mature.
You have captured fine detail and good natural coloration. Your choice of an f/13 aperture has resulted in wonderful DOF and the exposure is right on the money. Well done!!

this is a special and unique presentation of the fungi. I don't think I have seen any in my place.
Such a new scene to me, and the subject stands out beautifully on the brown fallen leaves.

Nice pic of the old Geastrum triplex. Awesome light management and contrast - probably the crop is a bit tight. Otherwise an excellent shot. Congrats and tfs.
Have a great new year, friendly regards, László
