What an amazing dark beauty.. how beautiful this little butterfly is! Must be one of the first presentation of this cute species.
Very pleasant composition divided in two equal parts by the diagonal taken leaf. Very well done!

Hi Chris,

Lovely macro capture of the adorable black colored butterfly!
The textures on teh wings ae very well defined and perfectly shown. The natural colors of the butterfly are also very well shown. The sharpness and POV are superb, and the green leaf gives great contrast to the this dark beauty. The note on the picture is informative.

Spectacular picture of this neotropical lycaenidae, a fascinating and exotical species with very special colors. Always it is difficult to photograph these insects, me seems that the result is good and with details enough appreciable. It is not the EXIF, but it seems that used flashbulb and that has been very suitable. Good work, congratulations!
