Hi Chris,

Superb macro capture of the Groove-billed Ani! Wonderful details with great sharpness and taken from a nice POV. The feathers of the bird are so delicate and have a great multi-colored tinge in them. I like the great comntrast between the dark colored bird and the sorroundings.

Hi Chris,

Very good picture, this is a difficult bird to photograph, due to its very dark color. You've managed to achieve the necessary adjustments to capture details of plumage and structure of the bird, so surprising.

Here in Venezuela they are called "Orihuelos" and are very abundant.

Wow... this is just beautiful! I would really like to see this bird for my self... and you have managed to capture it in such a good way. Perfect sharpness and all. I just would have loved to see a little bit more of the front.. but you cant have it all. How great!

A superb capture of the Grove-billed Ani, another species that I have photographed in Trinidad before the digital camera age came!
Every aspect about this shot is great to show this species in the best way with high technical quality.

Hi Chris!

Another very interesting and exotic bird from your trip. New specie, I've never seen it before. Very stylish colours, good POV and pose with turned head. BG is slightly crowded, but this is jungle not flat desert :-) Overall very interesting post.
