| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
| This is an image of a female Muntjac and her fawn that was taken in Khao Yai National Park, Thailand. Muntjac's are also known as Barking Deer due to the deep bark-like sound that they make in order to frighten potential predators. They are native to Southeast Asia. Muntjacs feed on grasses, leaves, and shoots. Their populations have been declining due to hunting and habitat destruction. I believe that this particular species is the Fea's Muntjac, which has been introduced to Thailand from Myanmar. |
