This photograph is the one having taken it when going to take the photograph of harvesting rice. It was unusual in me that a lot of dragonflies were flying to the rice ear, and there was a pattern on the wing that especially like this. As for this dragonfly, the science name is named "Sympetrum pedemontanum elatum" and is named "Miyamaakane" in a Japanese name".
This is a male.

The imago is a size of length 32-39mm level. It emerges in around the beginning of July, and it is seen until about November. It is a seed widely distributed from the foothill to a low mountainous district. As for this seed, the tendency to like stream region where depth such as brooks and millraces which is shallow and gradual is strong while the companion of other seeds belonging is still water. After it emerges, it moves to the grassy place where stature is high a little and the feeding activity of the vicinity of the emerging waters is done.

Hi Mikio,
beautiful shot. The red tips are wonderful and the effect is so felt. I like the blurry background. The green branch that emerges from the corner gives a good visual effect.
