[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
The most photographed primate while in my last journey, the "Monyet Ekor Panjang" in Indonesian or long-tail macaques (Macaca fascicularis) inhabit patches of Bali Island in hordes leaded by extremelly aggresive alpha males.
Despite that, many of these hords of macaques, live along touristical focus points mainly around temples, usually surounded by forest, where they get fed by visitors or monks or simply village children.
This one is taken at Pura Sangeh temple in a place known as "Sangeh Utang Monyet" or Sangeh Monkey Forest, he was just sitting, day dreaming away on a ledge above the cliff towards jungle. He is a strong male but young, still a soon to be contender to the alpha male. He was to old to be with the rest and too young to compete for the title. He would still and mate randomly with different brides of various hordes according to the monks...
I just like the light of his eyes a lot and the facial hair.

Hi Radu
One more time great portrait. He has beautiful eyes.

Hi Radu,
What a nice face! He is so close... I agree that he has great eyes, wow! Details are very, very sharp. I'm always amazed by this human expression those animal have in their eyes. It is like we could read their thoughts. Well done again! Thanks,

Hello Radu,
what a personality you have taking here with excellent skills of portrait photography! I love the soft hues of colours, the pose, the approach, the very clear eyes. Top quality animal photography reminding us that the latin derived word "animal" contains the word "anima" that means "soul".
Thank you my friend, and best regards,

Hi Radu!
I like this bearded guy; he looks so much like us humans, especially in terms of the brooding expression on his face. Must be thinking of ways and means to become an alpha male, I guess!
I admire the way you have focused on its expressive eyes. That is the most beautiful aspect of this great portrait.
Thanks and take care.

Magnífica sua foto.
A expressão, boca e dentes são de um homem...incrível a semelhança com os humanos...

Hi Radu,
Nice portrait picture of this macaque. Good POV, very sharp, well done.
Regards, Francois

A great detailed portrait, looks like someone I once knew. The whiskers remind me of Emperor Franz Joseph of Austria, haha. I've seen these guys on TV a while ago in 'The Amazing Race' being fed in front of the temples.

Oooh... those eyes... and that mouth...
I don't trust that one, Radu.
Very sharp details and excellent exposure.
I like the close-up crop. Very effective and intimidating.
TFS. : )

Hi Radu. A very captivating look. Everything looks great. The lighting the DOF, the POV and the framing all perfect. What I like about this is the human element to it. Very riveting. TFS Trevor
