[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
I took this picture yesterday easrly morning, been to a friends farm house and spotted this fellow getting his wings dried. I had never shot this butter fly with open wings.

Blues are butterflies that belong to the family Lycaenidae.

Comming next :- same butterfly with closed wings

Goutham:
This is a very nice photograph, perhaps just a tiny bit overexposed. This butterfly is one of the Satyridae, genus Erebia, rather than a lycaenid. Can't tell you which species at the moment, other than that it doesn't occur in western Europe!
Best wishes, Nigel.

Very lovely and well composed shot with excellent details, colors, exposure, DOF and POV.

Nicely captured Goutham, thank you!

Nice composition and colours, I like sharpness and blurred BG,
TFS and best wishes,
Elena

Hello Goutham,
today, this picture appeared on the front page of TrekNature. I am alwasy interested in Satyrinae and so I had a closer look.
It's a nice picture of
-- Ypthima kasmira
The genus Ypthima includes a huge number of very similar species occuring predominantly in Asia but also in the Afrotropical realm.
I do not remember to have seen a picture of a life specimen of kasmira. Thus, you present as a unique picture. Thank you for posting it!
Best wishes, Peter
