[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
I spent two days in the Kruger park last August, enjoying the South African parks and animals.

This is a mixed feeling to spend some time in those parks. For some part, it`s a unique experience since you have so many animals everywhere, so many facilities to enjoy wildlife. But, on the other hand, you miss the wild spirit you can find in smaller parks. You have to know that about 1 million tourists are visiting the Kruger each year and everything is done to help this (nice roads, good direction posts, great spots to rest, picnic and restaurant areas. You even can find a good supermarket with more stuffs than I can find in Beira Mozambique everyday).

Anyway, for shooting wildlife, Kruger park is still a great destination. Here, we met a lion which left the main road for a small track. He was leaving a group after having got his part of a prey.

He passed something like 1 meter behind our car, in a graceful manner without even looking at us. I had time for about 20 shots in about 1 minute, trying to get a good focus and a nice composition.

Hello Steven,
I'm surprised this capture of the lioness has not generated more interest. It has an immediacy and reality that many of the more posed shots lack. Full marks for composition, timing and focus.
Regards,
Greg

Steven,

Good pic you have posted here. A dramoatic scene with the blood stained legs of the lion. The composition is good. The pic is sharp and the DOF is good with an OOF BG.

Sheriff
