White-throated Swallow

Extremely sorry, I thought it's a 'Wire-Tailed Swallow'. But I was wrong.

I have recently captured this 'White-throated Swallow'
at Marievale Bird Sanctuary early in the morning. I saw this bird to take dust bath and I was lucky when it gave me a chance to take a few shots. It's not a mature one because its back isn't bright blue and tail isn't such big. Its under part is white. Beautiful bird.....

Hello Srikumar,

you did it with this exceptional background. And surprised me with this "rednosed" swallow ! A wish : I find your notes excellent but the interspersed Smileys don't add up to much,
Greetings, Dietrich

Hi Sri,
Absolutely wonderful capture. Excellent composition, the bird looks into the frame, I must say into the light, as the source is visibly there, while forming a semi-diagonal line with their body. As a photo, absolutely perfect, you deserve standing ovation. To the note, I'd like to add 2 things:
1. In scientific Latin only the initial of the genus name is written with capital, never the species name or the name of the infrageneric levels. To demonstrate: the correct spelling is Hirundo smithii smithii and not Hirundo Smithii Smithii. Regardless of the source of the species name, I mean that the bird was named after a human person.
2. I agree with Dietrich and must say those smileys look IMHO quite unprofessional.
Kind regards, László

hello Sri very nice composition with good details of this bird nice BG and lovely naturel colours

Hi Srikumar, another top class pic,the sharpness is excellent and the background is very clean, interesting note too about this subspecies of the Hirundo family. About my pic,I was expecting the odd point but you're right. The photo is not the best and the background is very noisy because of the very high ISO. But I had just finished eating and it was not easy to be bent without vomiting. Regarding the background panoramas, we have different tastes, I prefer to show what's behind, and you give importance only to the subject, everyone has his own tastes.Have a nice week and thanks,Luciano
