Saint Lucia, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa
The iSimangaliso Wetland Park was listed as South Africa’s first World Heritage Site in December 1999 in recognition of its superlative natural beauty and unique global values.

The 332 000 hectare Park contains three major lake systems, eight interlinking ecosystems, 700 year old fishing traditions, most of South Africa’s remaining swamp forests, Africa’s largest estuarine system, 526 bird species and 25 000 year-old coastal dunes – among the highest in the world. The name iSimangaliso means miracle and wonder, which aptly describes this unique place.

Hi George,i like a lot beach pics and this is a great gift to me.Remind me the endless and empty beaches of Gambia or Senegal on the Atlantic Ocean.A great choice of the moment, magic atmosphere and the usual top quality.Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Hello George,

Beautiful presentation of this sunrise moment. I like such dramatic sky in landscape photograph. You were lucky....
Very eye catching composition. Nicely used the part of tree and gave much place in foreground.

But....but....but....
At 17.23 (time) Sunrise! (?)......but well PP work (smile)
I use f/8 when take picture of bird. I think you would get more DOF if used f/16 to f/22, IMHO. You used Tripod here, so no problem.
Thanks for sharing,
Best regards,
Srikumar

Hello George
i like beach shots like this one, without people, only sand, water and sky, fine colors and sharpness, the wooden branch is a great plus
Have a great WE

Hello George,
You used the rule of thirds perfectly in this attractive composition. Love this eye catching image with it's long sandy beach running clear to the horizon. The beautiful cloudy sky adds character, I especially like the pinkish hues. The drift wood is placed nicely in the foreground and the prints in the sand leads your eyes back towards the lovely mountains.
Ron

Hi George,
It was long time ago you posted a photo or a comment here, but I hope you'll return once. This is a breathtaking coastal image, composition's excellent, the exposure's awesome - but for me the pink-ish clouds seem a little strange. Probably it was the original color tone, in this case please excuse me. Anyway, a spectacular coastal image which is not at all easy to shoot.
Kind regards from Ireland, László
