Lake Nakuru, late light, many of Pelicans sitting in the shallow water and starting to fly away one after another. It was interesting to observe different age that has influence on their colour and status in the breeding season which was visible from the colour around their eyes.

Shot taken hand hold with the BushHawk shoulder mount. After some training results comparable to using of tripod which is for me a bit unconfortable by shooting flying birds. And it is much less heavy to move aroung.

Hi Lenka,
Excellent in flight capture.
It's very good the way you managed to isolate the subject from the background, beeing the same birds in both.
You've got sharp details, specially on the wings, and the inclusion of the reflections is a plus for the image.

You managed great sharpness using that shoulder mount. From the look of the background birds it doesn't look as if you were panning much, and I know that lens is not stabilized... so you did great.

Great lens the 400 5.6 nice and light especially when compared to the 500 4.5, very sharp and quick. Excellent shot, a little more background above the bird would give more balance. But that is being picky. Well done
