Hi Luciano
A nice picture and presentation of this beautyfull one.
We have them here but not very easy to find them and very difficult to get near of them for a picture.
You gave us an excellent information about them. Thank you.
Have a good weekend.
Saludos
Jos茅

Ciao Luciano,
yes, this is the big butterfly I am chasing since 19.. with little success. But you present it as if it was the easiest thing to shoot. Well done. The camouflage is striking: it disassembles the body and melts into the environment.
Have a good weekend, cheers, Dietrich

Hi Asbed,
Colors seem a little "washed out" due to the strong backlight, but the composition's perfect, and the photo was fitting to the event very well. I wish to see more of your recent shots, so I hope you'll return to TN pretty soon.
Kind regards from Ireland, L谩szl贸

Hi Ron,
Elegant and even artistic greenery capture with surprisingly good depth. While looking at your picture I even feel myself in the forest, seeking for plants and mushrooms to photograph... Beautiful image!

Hi Silvio,
Very interesting underside photo with excellent lights. But please be careful with the dust spots on the lens as there are many detectable here, spoiling the "wow effect" a bit.
Kind regards from Ireland, L谩szl贸

Hi Marius,
Your previous post was absolutely perfect, this one, although the pose is very spectacular and the composition's fine, is a little overexposed as I see areas on the white plumage where details were lost. Just a nyance, indeed - probably if you use f/7.1 instead of 5.6 with the same shutter speed, this problem didn't even occur. White balance seems a little bit more cyan than the optimal for me. Anyway, I'm waiting for more pics of your Danube delta series as the potential's surely there!
Kind regards from Ireland, L谩szl贸

Hi Dietrich,
Yesssss, this is much-much better than the photo I just commented, sharpness is ok here and the pose is very spectacular, something you wouldn't expect from a butterfly when you're looking at them in the usual resting position. Nice work, congratulations!

Hi Dietrich,
I know it's extremely difficult to photograph flying insects. I never managed to do it at all, so I can't advise how to do better and stuff like that. I can only say my personal opinion after looking at the photo. Probably I'm looking at another image than Luciano and Ram did, as instead of "pin sharp" subject I detect heavy oversharpening on the insect's body, as clearly seen from the increased noise level and the thin bright halo around the antennae and the head. Background noise shows the original photo was overcropped also. I hope you don't mind I told what I've seen.
However, I'm very much interested in your "flying insects" series as it's something unique, not at all the everyday kind of photography, in spite of this image is not being good IMHO.
Kind regards from Ireland, L谩szl贸
